The Highlander: Issue III, Volume 11: 'Bach' to the classics
I wanted to get a broad overview of the activities of Carlmont's music program, and why the students felt that a specialized program at Carlmont was necessary, since there are many private programs across the Bay Area. Through this article, I was able to showcase student and teacher perspectives on the importance of the public music program, and how it cultivates their love for the craft.

The Highlander: Issue III, Volume 12: Seasoned Success
In the wake of one of the most consequential movements for African American civil rights, as well as Black History Month, I joined the Scotlight team of the Highlander magazine to highlight African American stories across the Bay Area. Since I love exploring different cultures through food, I chose to highlight African American-owned restaurants around the peninsula. The area holds a wide variety of cuisines, from Caribbean to Ethiopian to Southern food. Being able to share those stories and encourage others to support crucial local businesses in the community was one of the highlights of this year.
